Hangleton Rangers is a FA Charter Standard Development Club playing youth football in the Sussex Sunday Youth League affiliated to the Sussex County FA. In my Head Coach role I have overseen the Coaching Development of the Club, liaised with the committee about coaching matters and arrange Coaches meeting and coaching related events, and offer mentoring, coaching tips and training where required or requested.
Since playing 11 a side football the boys won the league in their first season at 11 a side in the under 11 SSYFL West Division.
Then at u12 they finished 3rd behind strong Eastbourne Borough and Lindfield teams in a tough Division 1 really brought the boys on in maturity and fooball development.
As u13's we won the Sussex Sunday Youth League Division 1 title finished runners up in the Knockout Cup Final and lost in the quarter finals of the County Cup. A truly outstanding season.
As u14's the boys won the SSYFL Knockout Cup finished mid table in the league and went out in the Quarter Finals of the County Cup. Holland Tour to Arnhem Cup.
u15's A season to remember but ended up playing second fiddle to Horsham in all three competitions. Runners Up in the league, Runners up in County Cup and Runners Up in SSYFL Cup Final.
u16 a season decimated by the weather early exits in cups and Runners Up in Div 1 once again. Followed by a very successful Sweden Tour in the Gothia Cup with a last 16 finish
Since playing football at 11 a side we have been voted top of our league in sportsmanship for each season from u11-u14 showing that we both play football the right way both on the pitch and off it as far as attitude is concerned.
I was pleased that 11 of the squad joined me at Whitehawk FC u18's where I was appointed assistant manager for 3 seasons 2013-2016.
